Hellboy Returns!

The battle in the ring hasn’t been easy for Ekapop “The Hellboy” Puyfourman has accomplished much in his storied career. Fighting out of the internationally renown Sityodtong camp in Pattaya Hellboy has had 144 fights with 109 wins, 1 draw, and only 34 losses. His journey from the depths has seen him achieve great heights winning three IFMA belts at 3 different weight classes and as the runner up in a 78 kilo 4 man Max Muay Thai championship

But at 37 years old Ekapop was considering hanging up the gloves. After a tough loss to Thomas Carpenter, in which he was a last minute replacement, along with a subsequent loss to Lyndon Daraho from Australia Hellboy thought that he should retire. He’d been successful with his career and the battles of the past seemed to be catching up to him. Ekapop decided to have one more dance in the ring and achieved a stunning first round knock out victory against Oliver Fairo from France. The knock out bolstered his confidence and he has decided to test himself once again this Sunday at the Max Muay Thai Ultimate Show.

His opponent from the Netherlands, Tiji Van Heigningen, is coming off a second round KO victory over Gasalong Sor Por Lampang and is looking to retire his older opponent. At 30 years old Tiji has the future ahead of him but with only a total of 31 fights (26 wins, 5 losses) Tiji is not nearly as experienced as Ekapop. It will be a classic battle of youth versus experience.
