It was a night of upsets at Max Muay Thai’s weekly Ultimate show which pits foreigners versus Thai boxers. The show is the number one rated televised show in Thailand and rightly so. It’s always nonstop action from the opening bell.
Ultra Rongkaekkanyang pulled off the first upset over favorite Tulabaev Kobilbek. The Uzebekistan native has an elusive style and is light on his feet. Ultra was able to missile in the knees to send Tulabaev down.
“I was going to get up at six,” Tulabaev said after the fight. The referee kept counting and Tulabaev’s feet were too heavy to stand. Ultra took the win and improved his record against a notable foreign opponent. Ultra has a 4 man Champion belt while Tulabaev has his own belt from the Fighter tournament.
The night’s main event saw a real break in the action as Silathong Nayokdonlopburi literally broke Sigitas Gaizauskas’ jaw. Sigtas looked strong. He captured Silathong’s lead hand and smashed in elbows but one hard elbow from Silathong and that was it. Sigitas turned away and the doctor came up to assess the damage. His mouth was filled with blood and his jaw broken. Silathong took the win and Sigitas went home with unspeakable damage.
Make sure to check out the action every Sunday night at the Max Muay Thai stadium in Pattaya, televised live on channel 8 and streaming on the Fite.tv app.
