It was a night out of knock outs at Max with fighters from Belgium, Russia, New Zealand, Cyprus, Laos, and the Netherland battling it out against Thai opponents.

The first bought at 58 kilos saw Rajco The Dynamite Torfs from Belgium take on Suttay Sitsutin. Based out of Wor Wattana gym for the past few months in Buriram Rajco fought on Max in December and lost on points to Chanasuek Chor Sungpraphai. Suttay was new to the stadium but was a veteran in the ring with his powerful right kicks that mottled the left side of Rajco. The Belgium fighter had some success switching to southpaw and firing off a powerful left cross but the continual machine gun kicks of Suttay had him hurt. Rajco was able to fire off a barrage of punches but eventually succumbed on points to the Thai fighter. Suttay was given a super bonus of 10,000 baht for his performance and Rajco took a 5,000 baht bonus home.

Russia took on Thailand in the second bout of the evening. Set at 70 kilos Vladimir Shulyak training out of Sityodtong took on Daomanggon Kaaisansukgym. Vladimir who is a hard puncher has had a mixed record at Max tending to back up under pressure. He was able to get Daomanggon into trouble early in the second round. The Thai boxer came back strong and Vladimir was in serious trouble himself until he let out a text book left hook that floored Daomanggon for the count. The Russian won by KO in the 2nd.

Stephen Pipe took on Palangnum Nakamuay from Thailand at 64kg. Pipe, who trains out of Yokkao in Bangkok, has had a bit of a lay off from the ring and recently returned from a trip home in New Zealand. The personal trainer was getting pushed around and backing up around the continual pressure of Palangnum in the first. In the second Pipe laid him out throwing an uppercut cross that gave Palangnum an 8 count and threw more hard hands – two successive left hooks that floored the Thai fighter.

Thailand got revenge in the fourth bout of the evening taking on Artur Sushinskiy from Cyprus. Petchsairung Sitjaysairung from Thailand battled his foreign opponent at 70kgs. Artur kept Petchsairung, who trains out of Max Muay Thai gym- just behind the stadium, at range in the first round. In the second Artur gassed up and Petchsairung turned on the heat. Artur’s mouthpiece was falling out of his mouth and the Referee had to warn him about it. Petchsairung continued to warm the hearts of the fans with his aggression and secured the win along with a 5,000 baht bonus.
The comain event saw Laos battle Thailand. Dechfangkong Sirilakmuaythai from Laos wasn’t as slick as his opponent Yodpitak Chor Nateetong whose charm had a large female fan base cheering for him. Dechfangkong didn’t care about Yodpitak’s allure and pushed forward with a high work rate. In the second the Laos boxer scored two elbows that floored Yodpitak for the count. Dechfangkong walked out of the ring with a 5,000 baht bonus, the win, and a few more fans.
The main event was an epic battle of youth versus experience with the aged veteran Ekapop Puyfourman battling Tijl Van Heigningen at 78 kgs. Ekapop, whose been considering retirement, was coming off a first round ko victory and was hungry. He was scoring quite well with a southpaw inside leg kick but Tijl was able to stun him in the second and knee him in the face for a second round victory.
The final bout of the evening saw Russia against Thailand at 68 kilos. Ruslan Salmanov landed a stunning elbow to the jaw of Sittidech Sisontidech for the KO victory.
