Well known Brazilian boxer Jos Mendonca will be taking on Jaowayha Sor.Sirilak at 69kg this Sunday at Max Ultimate at the Max Muay Thai stadium in Pattaya.
The 31 year old has been based in Thailand for the last 7 years and fought at the major stadiums winning the WPMF belt at 154lbs, 160lbs, and the 147lb Rajadamnern belt. During his title defense at Rajadamnern Jos suffered a leg injury that would sideline him for over a year and a half. The southpaw fighter says that he has changed his style since he’s returned to the ring. “I had a lot of doubts in my comeback. Will I be able to kick? Is it going to hurt? Everything was fine though and I won the fight,” Jos said. With the win under his belt his confidence rose and he became more aggressive. “I’m walking forward a bit more these days. I’m 30 years old and I will only be fighting a few more years so I can take the damage,” Jos said.
This is a perfect attitude when facing the always-smiling Jaowayah. The Konkaen native is the same age as Jos and at 30 years old has amassed over 100 fights. Every experience for the Thai fighter is a joyous one as he is always showing his teeth in the ring much to the delight of the crowd. With a 70kg tournament belt around his waist and nearly double the experience as the Brazilian Joawayah will be looking to be the only one grinning when the referees decision is announced.
