The Stubborn Child vs Pichitchai! 4 Man Tournament reportback

It was another night of great action at the Max Muay Thai stadium. This week 4 Thai fighters battled it out for the 60kg 4 Man Tournament belt.
The opening bout of the night saw Dekdeu, “The Stubborn Child” Loukaophobortong battle Petchphayao Kor Skapairin. Dekdeu used his long range effectively in the first, annoying Petchphayao with a long guard and solid knees. The second round Petchphayao was able to close the distance utilizing a left hook and left elbow. The third round was too close to call and the semi qualifying bout was declared a draw. The bout went into a fourth extension round and Dekdeu was able to take the win.
Pichitchai Dangkhaosai fought Loukyod Tor Petchtawan in the second qualifying bout. Pichitchai made it an easy night as he came out aggressive in the first. Loukyod had effective counters but in the second Pichit
chai battered him with knees and threw the full weight of his left elbow making Loukyod crash to the ground for the count. The TKO made Pichitchai move on to face Dekdeu in the final.
The night saw 4 super fights as well with Rodtang Luckybameegeow facing Kampai Loukjaophobortong at 56 kilos in the 3rd bout of the night. Kampai was able to deal with an early onslaught from Rodtang who gassed out in the second. Kampai kept full steam ahead and took the decision win.
Kritong Sittongu bested Nongjam Sor Pratumtong one minute and thirty two seconds into the second round. The two 60 kilo fighters were wild in the first round and limbs flailed around the ring. In the second though Kritong landed devastating straight punches that sent Nongjam down.
The fifth bout of the night had Dongking Toiturakitbanterng fight Auttachai Por Yuttapoom at 53.5kgs. It was another early one as Auttachai landed a solid elbow and a literally gut wrenching knee on Dongking. Dongking collapsed on the ground and convulsed in pain giving Auttachai the win.
Max Muay Thai favorite Yoddoy Kaewsamrit battled Petchphothong Sitkongwet in the main event. Yoddoy went down early after a flash knock down. He caught a left elbow but rose to his feet before the referee could give him a count. He was shaken for a moment but landed a peach of a cross towards the end of the round wobbling Petchphothong. In the second round Yoddoy was able to take the win after pushing Petchphothong off and landed a series of crushing crosses to the body making Petchophotong collapse.
The last bout of the night saw Dekdue battle Pichitchai for the belt. The bout was extremely close and Pichitchai was strong with the knees in the first. Dekdeu was stubborn though and held on. He had a better second round. The third was too close to call and it went into a fourth round. Dekdeu started to flag and Pichitchai was able to take the win and wear the 60kg four man belt home.
