Witsanuporn dances to victory

It was an exciting night at the weekly Champion show. This week saw 4 boxers battle it out for the 63kg belt along with the 50,000 baht prize.

The first bout was a quick one with Dennapho Sor Thunyalak landing a beautiful upward elbow on Yodpetch Sor Sompong. Sompong collapsed after the rising elbow smashed into his nose. His nose was obviously broken only 24 seconds into the first round.

If the first qualifying bout was quick the second made it up for it in length. Chaylek Sitkamnanpraset took on Witsanuporn Petch Por Tor Aor in a bout that saw Chaylek got a super fighter prize of 10,000 baht and Wisanuporn taking home 5,000 baht. While Witsanuporn didn’t get as big of a prize he did get the win when the bout went into an extension round. The two battled closely in the clinch for three rounds and then Witsanuporn turned it up in the deciding round with a technical knock out via knees.

The fifth bout of the evening saw fan favorite Robert Jor Chaiwat take on a very slick Nguentae Toiturakitbanterng. Robert relied on the bread and butter while Nguentae shot out crocodile kicks, reverse upward elbows and other spectacular moves. He almost caught Robert flush with a jumping knee early on.Nguentae faded in the second but rallied in the third to get a draw in a bout that saw both fighters take home the 5,000 baht bonus.

Klakhunsuek Chor Chanathip was too much for Namkabuan Tongprasarthintum in the 6th bout of the evening. Klakhunsuek was nonstop with his aggression spearing in the long knees. The beautiful attacks took out Namkabuan easily in the second.

The main event saw Witsanuporn take on Dennapho for the tournament belt. Dennapho came in the favorite for the fight having hardly had a sweat in the first but Witsanuporn was the one that had what it took and he scored a knockdown in the second and followed it up with more earth shattering blows that had Dennapho’s world ruined. Witsanuporn took home the belt and gained some more fans.
