It was a thrilling night of action at Max’s Battle show last night. It was particularly interesting as three Estonian boxers came to take on Thai opponents. The country is new to the sport of Muay Thai and had a solid showing at Max last night with all three boxers knocking out their Thai opponents.
Sam Petchasira was the first victim from Thailand. The half Australian half Thai boxer has been training out of Max Muay Thai gym. The 77kg fight against Narep Urmas was a tough one for Sam especially as he had a defense that was lacking. He was floored in the first round for a victory for team Estonia.
Andy Uuustalu from Estonia took on Yodsankrai Sor Kanchana in a bout that gave Andy a slight weight advantage, one kilo. The size comparison was considerable but Yodsankrai looked unphased by Andy until the third round in which Andy was able to land some devastating shots. A series of elbows put Yodsankrai down.
The last bout of the night saw Raul Esko take on Beerthai Sor Jor Yoypaetrew. Beerthai punched himself out in the first round during a very scrappy fight and Raul kept up his output. Raul was able to land a beautiful spinning backfist to put some pride into his country’s debut at Max.
Our main event of the evening saw Petchingchai Nongrakgym take on Wanachana Kaiisansukgym. Petchingchai came out strong and attacked the lead leg of Wanachana. Wanachana tried to tough it out but eventually collapsed under the barrage of leg kicks.
Make sure to stay tuned in every week for our Battle show. Ringside at the Max Muay Thai stadium in Pattaya and televised live on channel 8 at 6pm Thai time.
