Max Muaythai fans are in for a treat on the 9th of July when two of Max Muaythai's star performers get to collide in the Max Muaythai Ultimate shows main event. Mahasan Popthiratham comes into the fight fresh from winning the third 68 Kilo Silver belt tournament and will be looking for the win as he goes into the Gold belt final tournament a month later. Valentin Tibaut of France goes into the fight looking to erase the memory of his shock loss to Chinese fighter Wang Tingyie in the same tournament. At the start of the night Mahasan and Valentin were the strong favorites to win the tournament, with both drawing different opponents in the semi finals. It looked like they would meet in the final when Valentin appeared to be cruising to the win against Tingyie, but there was a shock in store for the crowd, when Tingyie having been dropped for an 8 count by a rampant Valentin, managed to drag himself up from the canvas and stunned the crowd with a huge spinning back elbow strike, that sent Valentin down for the count.
Don't forget to tune in to Max Muaythai live on channel 8 on Sunday the 9th of July to see who will come out on top? Will Mahasan go into the Gold belt tournament on the back of a strong win, or will Valentin be able to erase his blushes with a win to get his career back on track?
