It was a great night for English fighter Sam Gough as he took on the formidable Narak Aor Sanitpan in the fifth fight of the weekly Max Muay Thai Ultimate show.
Both fighters were coming into the bout with losses. Gough had taken a beating in his last bout and was TKO'd in the second round after a bombardment of punches.
This time it was Gough's turn to do the damage. He effectively punched in the first two rounds and snapped back the head of Narak.
"Punching tires me out," he said after his win. "I could kick for five rounds easily but I was told I should use my hands."
Sam not only used his hard hands but also his knees. He repeatedly caught Narak's kicks and countered with strong knees to the gut.
"My corner had told me to catch and counter with my knees," Sam said. "I couldn't have done it without them especially Rob Cox the owner of the gym. He's really helped me out."
It was a great display from the Kiatphonthip fighter and he showed a huge improvement from his last performance.
Make sure to see more of Sam Gough in the coming months at Max Muay Thai.
