Luke Bar battles Mungkornpate - Revenge or Repeat?

Welsh star Luke Bar is back at it this Sunday night against Mungkornpate Aor Sabaitae. Their previous bout last month had Bar take the win and both fighters getting the 10,000 baht super bonus.

Mungkornpate felt that he got the bad end of the decision and is looking to make up for his points loss.

Bar thinks otherwise. “I won. He thought it was close. I told him straight after that I would give him a rematch,” Bar said.

Bar has been training out of Sansuk gym in Pattaya and is feeling strong and ready for this bout. “The gym keeps getting better,” he said. “It’s an easy cut for me to get down to 68 kgs.”

Mungkornpate meanwhile had some difficulty getting down to weight and at the time of weigh ins was a kilo and a half heavy. He had a few hours to make weight though.

Either way Bar is still game. “I feel good. I know he’s going to try to low kick me, but that doesn’t matter. Fighting someone for a second time is always different. It’s never the same fight.”
